    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Guides pregnant person/family through the birthing process to provide emotional, physical and informational support. Works with the family at the hospital during the labor &amp; birth process and postpartum. Administers care to designated patients and provides support to the care team under the direction of the clinical nurse. Serves as a liaison between clinical, medical staff and underserved patients and/or families. Assures care of patients and families is reflective of IU Health's values.&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Part-time night shift, 24 hours per week</li><li>Saturday and Sunday nights, 7:00pm - 7:00am</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>High School Diploma/GED is required.</li><li>Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.</li><li>Requires knowledge and cultural understanding of target communities.</li><li>Requires high level of oral and written fluency in English and target languages.</li><li>May provide support to Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients, families, and medical staff providing care.</li><li>May require Medical Interpreter Certification when applicable.</li><li>Preferred Birth Doula Certification from accredited organizations. DONA (Doula Organization of North America) certification required within 24 months of hire date, with IU Health assistance.</li><li>Preferred CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) certification or completion of certification within 12 months of hire date.</li></ul>",
