    "description": "<h2>Subsidiary</h2>Steel Dynamics\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>This position will play an important role in providing comprehensive reports, analyses and business insights to Executive Management.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Financial Planning and Analysis</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare market / economic intelligence, and steel market dynamics reports.</li>\n <li>Track and update commodity database, and conduct comprehensive analysis of commodity price dynamics. Develop necessary reports with insights.</li>\n <li>Prepare and analyze weekly / monthly / quarterly financial reports for Executive Management. § Provide necessary support for monthly corporate-wide forecast consolidation.</li>\n <li>Prepare actuals vs. plan / forecast P&L variance analysis reports and provide business insight for Executive Management.</li>\n <li>Provide support for quarterly guidance release, earnings call, leadership meeting and Board-of-Directors’ meeting.</li>\n <li>Perform peer comparison analysis for Executive Management.</li>\n <li>Support preparation of annual budget / plan and five-year long-range strategic plan.</li>\n <li>Develop valuation models to support company growth initiatives.</li>\n <li>Represent FP&A on key corporate initiatives to support business growth.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Treasury</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in monitoring of cash investments.</li>\n <li>Prepare cash investment summary and internal control reports.</li>\n <li>Provide analytical support related to working capital, investments peer comparison etc.</li>\n <li>Assist Treasurer in preparing meeting presentations for Executive Management.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS/BA in Finance / Accounting, or equivalent degree</li>\n <li>Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing / metals industry environment</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to build comprehensive financial models</li>\n <li>High level skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications</li>\n <li>Self-starter with a desire to learn and grow</li>\n <li>Demonstrated systems experience with ability to learn new financial and reporting systems</li>\n <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and work independently, and rapidly respond to frequent, small requested</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>MBA / CPA is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers. </em></strong></p>",
