That means making sure we have the best team available who believe that taking care of our staff is just as important to us as taking care of our patients.</em></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Summary of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations and as directed by the Director of Nursing.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Requirements of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Practical Nurse current state license in Florida. </li>\n <li>Must have a current/active CPR certification.</li>\n <li>Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.</li>\n <li>Effective verbal and written English communication skills.</li>\n <li>Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.</li>\n <li>Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem solving skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.</li>\n <li>Approachable, flexible and adaptable to change.<p>https://info.flclearinghouse.com/</p>#PARAMOUNT123 </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assess and document resident progress in the medical record.</li>\n <li>Monitor turning and positioning of residents.</li>\n <li>Obtain changes in physician’s orders as indicated by resident’s progress or lack of progress</li>\n <li>Communicate pertinent information about resident condition and progress to charge nurses, supervisors and Director of Nursing, as indicated.</li>\n <li>Maintain clean, orderly treatment cart and restock treatment supplies.</li>\n <li>Follow Infection Control policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Administer medications and treatments accurately as ordered by the physician and according to all facility policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Document pressure sore status weekly or more often as condition changes.</li>\n <li>Assist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies and equipment to be sure adequate supplies of skin care products are on hand to meet the needs of residents.</li>\n <li>Participate in educational programs for residents and their family members relative to skin care when a resident is being discharged to home.</li>\n <li>Participate in Quality Improvement activities, as assigned.</li>\n</ul>",
