They help plan, implement, monitor, and review the protective and preventive measures in place that employees are required to follow, and work to minimize operational losses, occupational health problems, incidents, and injuries.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<p>·         Communicates with Project Managers, Health and Safety Officers, Director of Health and Safety to ensure field safety for all jobsites and facilities.</p>\n<p>·         Supports the Project Manager in the development and implementation of the project health and safety program in accordance with Client expectations and Posillico policies and procedures.</p>\n<p>·         Administers the Site Health and Safety Program and advises the Project Manager with regards to all matters of health and safety associated with the project.</p>\n<p>·         Supports the Project Manager on the Implementation and administration of the Site-Specific HASP, including the client’s safety program and Posillico policies and procedures.</p>\n<p>·         Provides site orientation (includes Martins site-specific HASP) to Martins and subcontractors working on project.</p>\n<p>·         Will lead the Incident investigation on projects and conduct interviews of witnesses, working closely with the Project Manager, Corporate Officer, and client.</p>\n<p>·         Reports and documents incidents and issues related to site safety.</p>\n<p>·         Performs duties in accordance with Posillico Health and Safety Program Procedures, Posillico policies and procedures, and the site-specific health and safety plans.</p>\n<p>·         Conducts daily site reviews and inspections of projects throughout the VA/DC region.</p>\n<p>·         Verifies all training for the site is accomplished and current.</p>\n<p>·         Reviews and assists with the preparation of AHA’s (Activity Hazard Analysis)</p>\n<p>·         Assists in the implementation of the video surveillance safety program, assisting in the review of findings and coordinating with the project teams to implement corrective measures as part of the project oversight.</p>\n<p>·         Implementation of the Martins Energy Based Safety System including performing weekly high energy control assessments and identification of needed controls.</p>\n<p>·         Assists in management of vehicle/driver compliance and employee certification</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BA / BS degree in engineering, safety, health sciences, or equivalent, or have equivalent experience in an occupational safety capacity. </li>\n <li>5+ years’ health and safety experience with health and safety compliance. Experience in the Construction industry is required.</li>\n <li>CHST is required.</li>\n <li>Industry Credentials such as ASP/CSP are preferred. </li>\n <li>A moderate level of IT skills with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.  </li>\n <li>Patience and diplomacy; the position requires a collaborative approach.</li>\n <li>OSHA 500 Certification preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Reports to: </strong>VP, Director of Health and Safety</p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>Fairfax, VA and surrounding areas.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Comprehensive benefits offered to eligible employees including medical, dental, and vision coverage; life insurance; FSA; short- and long-term disability; identity theft protection; 401(k); employee assistance program; and paid time off.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Posillico Civil, Inc. is committed to maintaining a working environment that promotes teamwork and that is free of any and all forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
