We are searching for a <strong>Quality Technician </strong>to join our team located at our facility in Bellwood, VA.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Your Role:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Quality Technician</strong> is responsible for inspecting manufacturing processes to ensure that the finished product will comply with quality standards. This position will be involved in the entire course of manufacturing from incoming raw materials, WIP materials to finished goods.  In addition, this role is responsible for documenting all observations, test results and ensures control of non-conforming product.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in operation and calibration of precision QC instruments and quality information systems including micrometers, scales, balances, Instron’s, Spectrometers, Ovens, Force Gages, etc.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with test procedures and equipment within the quality labs and production areas.</li>\n <li>Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities</li>\n <li>Perform quality audits of production & charting procedures across all shifts, including identifying improper procedures and taking necessary actions to correct (i.e., train proper procedures, update procedures).</li>\n <li>Conduct necessary training (i.e., GMP, FSC, SFI, BRC, test procedures and run rules) in support of plant quality programs.</li>\n <li>Conduct and assist in the performance of statistically based audits, AQL’s and post-production inspection of products and product characteristics.</li>\n <li>Assist Production department in the recall and inspection of returned goods and determine their disposition.</li>\n <li>Responsibility for complying with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>You will love it here if…</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>You put safety first, always.</li>\n <li>You listen, learn, and evolve.</li>\n <li>You are passionate about collaboration, teamwork, and achieving shared goals.</li>\n <li>You treat all people with respect, operating ethically, and embrace inclusivity.</li>\n <li>You are committed to improving our impact on local communities.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We need you to have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>3+ years experience in a quality and/or manufacturing role.</li>\n <li>Strong troubleshooting skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.</li>\n <li>Self-directed with the ability to work in a demanding environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.</li>\n <li>Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of calibration standards, mechanical and electrical aptitude with precision hand tools for adjustment and repair.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of statistical software capabilities to facilitate analysis and distribution of quality related data as requested.</li>\n <li>Proficient in MS Office.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Icing on the cake:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in Packaging, Printing, Folding Carton, or Nylon film manufacturing</li>\n <li>AAS or trade school diploma.</li>\n <li>BRC, GMP experience.</li>\n <li>HACCP experience.</li>\n <li>ASQ Certified Quality Technician.</li>\n <li>Statistical knowledge.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>If you answer yes to the following…we want to meet you!</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Intellectual Curiosity: Do you have an inquisitive nature?</li>\n <li>Problem Solving: Do you have a knack for tackling issues head-on?  </li>\n <li>Entrepreneurship: Do you enjoy taking ownership of your work? </li>\n <li>Customer Centricity: Do you always act in the best interests of the customer, putting their needs first?  </li>\n <li>Growth Mindset: Do you focus on progress rather than perfection? </li>\n <li>Continuous Improvement: Are you never satisfied with the status quo? </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Want to know more?
