St. Luke’s offers a full range of services and programs that includes a state-of-the-art surgical center, Siouxland’s premier birth center, 24/7 cardiovascular care, and Level III emergency department. In addition, UnityPoint Health - Sioux City is also home to St. Luke’s College which provides high-quality, health system-based education to individuals looking for careers in health care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experienced team of physicians, APPs and support staff with low turnover and excellent patient outcomes</li>\n <li>PRN hospital employed opportunity</li>\n <li>24/7 hospitalist program responsible for adult and pediatric inpatients</li>\n <li>Schedule managed locally - flexible scheduling – team trades among themselves</li>\n <li>Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination</li>\n <li> Luke’s Regional Medical Center serves 175,00 people in a three-state region of Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Annual visit volume = 40,000</li>\n <li>Average # of patients per day = 89</li>\n <li>Average 1.5-1.9 patients per hour</li>\n <li>40 hours of physician coverage & 27 hours of APP coverage per day</li>\n <li>Shift duration = 9 hours during weekday & 12 hours on weekends with good shift balance</li>\n <li>Work on an as needed basis </li>\n <li>Majority night and weekend openings</li>\n <li>Minimum 3 shifts/month</li>\n <li>Level 3 Trauma Center</li>\n <li>32 bed ED</li>\n <li>APP’s manage a 12-bed clinical decision unit</li>\n <li>Integral part of the ED team</li>\n <li>Ability to see broad range of patient complaints and practice to top of your license</li>\n <li>No call, good work/life balance</li>\n <li>Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve</li>\n <li>Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care</li>\n <li>Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment</li>\n <li>Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant</li>\n <li>Board Certified</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience </li>\n <li>Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa </li>\n <li>Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice</li>\n <li>Eligible to work in the United States</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>We Offer</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive hourly rate</li>\n <li>A commitment to ensuring you have a voice that is heard regardless of role, race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. </li>\n <li>Support and development opportunities that are a crucial part of delivering a remarkable employment experience. </li>\n <li>A culture guided by uncompromising values and unwavering belief in doing what’s right for the people we serve.<strong> </strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Community Details</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Sioux City has grown to be one of Iowa’s largest cities – and its meteoric rise isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
