Description

About Direct Edge Direct Edge is a growing and innovative visual display company. We design and deliver high-impact visual display solutions that help brands stand out and connect with their audiences. Headquartered in Anaheim, California and with operations across Orange County, CA; Denver, CO; and Dallas, TX, we are scaling rapidly and investing in our people, culture, and leadership to support our next phase of growth. By joining us, you will have the opportunity to shape the people strategy of a growing, innovative company, have high visibility and impact as a key member of the executive leadership team and be a part of a collaborative culture with strong executive partnership. Job Summary We’re looking for a hands-on Structural Designer to work in our structural design department — guiding and working with the team in developing effective, creative, and production-ready display solutions. This role combines creative solutions, process development, technical mentorship and outside the box thinking to ensure our structural design group is producing high-quality, cost-efficient, and innovative display concepts that align with client needs and manufacturing realities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Combine your creativity with structural engineering expertise to craft unique, standout moments that set new standards in the market. Experience in adhering to brand standards and guidelines, with the ability to modify existing 2D artwork to align with 3D models for proposals and concept approvals, incorporating client artwork as needed. Prepare print-ready files for prototype production, maintaining consistency and adhering to naming and storage protocols. Oversee projects from concept to completion, converting marketing objectives into effective design solutions. Ensure files are properly prepared for print using industry-standard production techniques. Coordinate with internal team and clients to manage artwork revisions and approvals. Skilled in managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, staying organized, and meeting deadlines. Collaborate with team members to develop creative and structural design solutions. Carry out additional duties as assigned. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed. Operate a cutting table to produce white sample prototypes. Design and produce products optimized for efficient shipping and fulfillment. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with account managers, creative, prepress, and production teams to ensure seamless project handoffs. Support quoting, sampling, and production readiness — ensuring structural files are accurate and complete. Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives that elevate the department’s creative and operational standards.
