    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Rehab Clinical Coordinator assists the Director of Rehabilitation Services in the daily operations of the Rehab dept including staffing and quality improvement. Evaluates and treats patients in both the inpatient and outpatient physical therapy setting. Provides accurate and timely documentation and coordinates care with other health care professionals. Will help to develop and prepare monthly productivity and quality reports. Participates in community outreach and serves as a resource in community education.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Assists Director in daily operations of the Rehab department and coordinates with Lead Therapist in daily operations of the Outpatient clinic; maintains the standard of clinical practice at current best practices level; assists in implementation of policies and procedures which satisfy all current regulatory agencies. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provides direct patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings including evaluation and treatment. Will be the primary back-up to the inpatient therapist. Utilizes clinical reasoning to determine course of action and anticipates outcomes guided by a framework of previous experience and knowledge of best practices. Provides comprehensive clinical care to patients using a human movement system framework. Completes all required documentation in a timely manner in compliance with department standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ensures a safe and productive work environment. Assists Director in providing ongoing training to staff and in collecting performance improvement data. Assists Director with quality metrics and performance improvement for Rehab. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Assist Director to orient new staff with organizational and departmental policies/procedures. Trains new staff so they are well prepared and effectively supported to handle their responsibilities. Contributes to a nurturing and healthy work environment for all team members, ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Coordinates and particpiates with all  clinical site education through in-services and clinical education of assigned students effectively acting as the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provides feedback to the director; participates and contributes in hiring decisions and performance evaluations for Rehab staff. Provides leadership when the director is unavailable and acts as a role model to all staff.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Actively participates in community outreach including participation in lectures, classes and in-services. Serves as a resource in community based education.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong> Education</strong>: Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program.<strong>Experience</strong>: Minimum five years of previous experience as a Physical Therapist, plus one to two years in a lead role preferred. Experience in both acute and outpatient settings within the last 3-5 years also preferred.<strong>Licenses & Certifications</strong>: Current California State License, Current BLS Certification, professional association membership a plus <strong>Required Skills & Knowledge</strong>: Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills. Strong  leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow. Demonstrated flexibility and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.  Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline. Strong charting/documentation skills.  Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population; Bilingual in English & Spanish a plus.</p>\n<h2>Compensation</h2>Actual compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
