Essential Duties:
Maintaining and repairing lighting systems;
Ensuring electrical circuits stay energized throughout county buildings due to overload or other issues;
Troubleshoot issues in the electrical systems;
Repairing switches and outlets that have been damaged or have been worn out from use;
Installs new electrical outlets, switches, lights, and circuits for projects needed by county departments to support operations;
Assist other trades keeping generators maintained, replacing wiring for HVAC equipment being replaced, and repairing or replacing underground electrical lines;
Reads and interprets blueprints and written instructions;
And confers with supervisor concerning construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair projects.
Other Duties as assigned.

Given: This is a non-supervisory position.
Education
Required: High school graduation or its equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred:
Experience
Required: At least three years of experience.
Preferred:
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Required: Texas Journeyman Electrician license.
