    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Essential Duties:</u></strong></p><p>Maintaining and repairing lighting systems;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Ensuring electrical circuits stay energized throughout county buildings due to overload or other issues;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Troubleshoot issues in the electrical systems;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Repairing switches and outlets that have been damaged or have been worn out from use;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Installs new electrical outlets, switches, lights, and circuits for projects needed by county departments to support operations;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Assist other trades keeping generators maintained, replacing wiring for HVAC equipment being replaced, and repairing or replacing underground electrical lines;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Reads and interprets blueprints and written instructions;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>And confers with supervisor concerning construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair projects.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Other Duties as assigned.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Supervision &nbsp; &nbsp;<br>Received: From Director</p><p>Given: This is a non-supervisory position.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Education &nbsp; &nbsp;<br>Required: High school graduation or its equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.</p><p>Preferred: &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Experience &nbsp; &nbsp;<br>Required: At least three years of experience.</p><p>Preferred: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations &nbsp; &nbsp;<br>Required: Texas Journeyman Electrician license.</p><p>Preferred: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Physical Demands &nbsp; &nbsp;<br>Typical: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
