Description
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire . Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a systems engineer for the Fire Control Program, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for supporting the strategic deterrence program by maintaining lab systems in a constant state of operational readiness, performing active troubleshooting and corrective actions to resolve technical issues and sustain lab availability. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to ancillary projects and initiatives that directly enhance and expand mission capability in support of the broader deterrence program.

Hands-On Electrical Troubleshooting in a Lab or Test Environment, Experience Supporting Weapons Systems or Strategic Programs, and Preventative & Corrective Maintenance background are prefered for this position.
Experience diagnosing and resolving electrical faults in a live lab or test facility setting
Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment
History of reducing system downtime through proactive maintenance strategies
Familiarity with configuration management and maintaining lab equipment records/documentation
