More than a workplace, we celebrate our successes and take pride in serving our communities.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>The Underwriting Supervisor provides day‑to‑day leadership for an assigned group of Underwriters, ensuring underwriting quality, consistency, and productivity. This role focuses on coaching, performance oversight, execution of underwriting initiatives, and continuous improvement while serving as a key connection between Underwriting associates and leadership.</p>\n<h2>Work Location</h2>\n<p><strong>This position offers both remote and hybrid work locations.  Candidates who reside within 50 miles of an office location (West Bend, Madison, Appleton) will be offered a hybrid work schedule.  Candidates who are fully remote (beyond 50 miles) may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The internal deadline to apply is 5/27/26. External applications will be accepted on a rolling basis while the position remains open.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide day‑to‑day supervisory leadership for an assigned team of Underwriters, with accountability for underwriting quality, consistency, and productivity.</li>\n <li>Support Underwriting associates through coaching, file reviews, referral guidance, and ongoing performance feedback to ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and operational expectations.</li>\n <li>Execute underwriting initiatives, process changes, and workflow updates as directed by leadership; monitor adoption, effectiveness, and results.</li>\n <li>Review underwriting and operational performance data to identify trends, risks, and development opportunities; communicate insights and recommendations to leadership.</li>\n <li>Support learning and development of new Underwriting associates to ensure successful integration and skill development.</li>\n <li>Foster and participate in special projects and continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing underwriting processes, efficiency, and outcomes.</li>\n <li>Serve as an escalation point for underwriting questions and complex referrals, providing guidance consistent with established authority and guidelines.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred Experience and Skills</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>7 years of experience in commercial multi-line underwriting.</li>\n <li>Prior leadership, supervisory, or lead experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Coaching, feedback, and performance management skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced underwriting environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.</li>\n <li>Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.</li>\n <li>Effective communication and organizational skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred Education and Training</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance or related field</li>\n <li>Completion of Associate in Underwriting program and CPCU designation</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Salary Statement</h2>\n<p>The salary range for this position is $109,432-$136,790.</p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.  Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.  </p>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p><strong>West Bend offers a comprehensive benefit plan including but not limited to:   </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical & Prescription Insurance  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Health Savings Account  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Dental Insurance  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Vision Insurance  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Short and Long Term Disability  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Life and Accidental Death & Disability   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Accident and Critical Illness Insurance  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) Plan with Company Match  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Pet Insurance  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Paid Time Off.
