As part of the assigned duties, the Geotechnical Engineering Lead will lead the business development activities including the development of the technical scope for proposals, schedule and budget for projects of various sizes.  This position commands a dynamic leader who has strong leadership and technical capabilities, communication skills, previous project management experience, and the ability to connect and work with clients and teams as well as formulate a local marketing plan and mentor staff. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Pro-actively troubleshoot and problem-solve with practical, client-focused solutions</li>\n <li>Demonstrate technical expertise in geotechnics, slope stability, foundation design and earthwork</li>\n <li>Possess excellent oral and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Lead a team of geotechnical engineers and professionally develop staff</li>\n <li>Attract, hire, and mentor strong new team members</li>\n <li>Develop strategic pursuits and proposals</li>\n <li>Organize priorities and multi-task effectively</li>\n <li>Collaborate with area leadership and project managers to effectively resource and deliver</li>\n <li>Oversee management of projects from cradle-to-grave in a fast-paced and dynamic environment</li>\n <li>Exhibit external focus to grow client relationships and develop business through the work</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Candidates are required to have 10+ years of related experience in consulting engineering</li>\n <li>Proven experience in geotechnical design and local issues and practices</li>\n <li>Minimum of 4 years of previous project management experience</li>\n <li>Past experience or similar related skills in leading diverse project teams</li>\n <li>Proven experience in business development opportunities and preparing proposals</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required; MS degree in geotechnical engineering or equivalent highly preferred  </li>\n <li>Nevada Professional Engineering license required</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Move Forward with Kleinfelder:</strong> Kleinfelder and its’ subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
