    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">The American Lung Association has an excellent opportunity for a <strong>Specialist, Health Promotions&nbsp;</strong>Working as a member of the <strong>Heath Promotions</strong> department, you will join an outstanding group of professionals dedicated to our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research, education, and advocacy.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Specialist, Health Promotions will implement and evaluate lung health programs throughout Delaware; implement the Advancing Health Lifestyle mini-grant program from the Delaware Division of Public Health. This is a grant-funded position.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Location: Home-based, Delaware</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Lung Association does not currently have an office in Delaware. This position is home-based and job responsibilities will take place in Delaware.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Screen, score, and identify mini-grantees for Advancing Healthy Lifestyles program</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide technical assistance and management to all identified mini-grantees</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct two technical trainings for all awarded mini-grantees</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Promote the Lung Health Navigator program in DE&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work with evaluator to develop mapping, infographics, and other visual aids to convey measured program outcomes.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Track program budgets, expenses, create accurate invoices and back-up documentation to meet financial requirements of funders and internal Finance team</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Explore opportunities to connect and enhance collaborations throughout the Lung Association to address asthma related health disparities.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in asthma related workgroups, as well as other essential meetings.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Represent the Association as a member of community, civic, and/or health coalitions and organizations related to the Association&rsquo;s mission.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Build, maintain, and cultivate relationships with funders and community partners to encourage program delivery, sustainability, and growth across service territory, including American Lung Association signature programs.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Select and participate in local, state, and national seminars and courses designed to increase skills and knowledge related to job requirements.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Serve on American Lung Association&rsquo;s regional and national workgroups and committees as requested.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in and support area events and other activities as assigned.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"margin-left: 0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in public health or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum two years of experience developing and implementing community awareness, education, and programs specifically related to areas of public health.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prior experience in public health, community relations, public policy, and/or advocacy.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills both written and oral.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must have a valid Driver&rsquo;s license and your own reliable transportation with the ability to travel within assigned area 35% of the time for meetings and conferences, as well as the flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends with some overnights required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Able to work with minimum direct supervision, make decisions, and take initiative.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proven ability to cultivate and steward relationships across a diverse population.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet applications.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Consistent with its mission, the American Lung Association maintains a smoke-free workplace, all employees must abstain from use tobacco in any form, including vaping.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Compensation:</strong> Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The target hiring range for this position is between $50,000 and $51,000 per annum.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Benefits</strong>: The Lung Association offers a comprehensive benefits package including:&nbsp;</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Paid Leave - 10 vacation days in the first year (15 days thereafter), 2 personal days and 15 sick days per year, as well as 12 company-paid holidays per year.
