    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>In business for over 50 years, Ocean Steel’s Rebar Division cuts, bends and installs reinforcing<span> </span>steel for poured-in-placed concrete work. Ocean Steel Rebar’s plant capacity is currently 10,000+ tons. Estimating, detailing, shop scheduling, tagging and shipping is performed using a computerized production management system. Rebar shop drawings are prepared using the latest 3D CAD technology to CSA, CRSI and ASTM specifications. Rebar is installed using in-house or subcontracted field crews depending on the project requirements.<span> </span>Projects have been completed projects in various regions of Canada and Bermuda.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in preparing construction sites for rebar installation.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints to determine rebar placement and requirements. (Blueprint knowledge is not required to start)</li><li>Position and secure rebar, mesh, rods, and cables in concrete forms.&nbsp;</li><li>Tie rebar together using wire and pliers.</li><li>Ensure proper alignment and spacing of rebar and mesh.</li><li>Clean and organize work areas to maintain safety and efficiency.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>This position requires you to travel to various locations -<strong> a car is required</strong></li><li>Ability to lift, carry, and move rebar bundles (50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day</li><li>This position requires a lot of bending, and repetitive tasks for extended periods</li><li>Tolerance for heat, cold, rain, snow, and other weather conditions</li><li>&nbsp;Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Ocean Steel &amp; Construction Ltd. offers a comprehensive compensation package including health and dental coverage, life insurance and RRSP options.
