These pillars form the foundation of our company-wide commitment to sustainability, helping us achieve our ambitious goals through our wide-ranging initiatives.</p>\n<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>The Operations Manager will support Converting and Extrusion Production teams, assisting with planning, directing and coordinating production activities.  </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p>The Operations Manager is accountable for inspiring and executing strategies which achieve optimum safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advance initiatives that promote and sustain the safety, health, security, and welfare of all employees.</li>\n <li>Maintain safe, clean, orderly and environmentally compliant production operations.</li>\n <li>Inclusive oversight of all production and production support activities of the facility ensuring all are conducted in accordance with Company policies, principles, procedures, values, and standards.</li>\n <li>Perpetually assess current strategies, systems, procedures, performance, capabilities, equipment, facilities, and employees for opportunities to optimize safety, flow, service, quality, and profitability. </li>\n <li>Willingly undertake and perform other duties and tasks as assigned. </li>\n <li>Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols.</li>\n <li>Ensure that production activities remain on time and within budget.</li>\n <li>Track staffing needs, hiring new hires as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Specific Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Daily GEMBA </li>\n <li>Perform daily audits for Standard Work, Housekeeping and Roll Scanning</li>\n <li>Maintain and post shift score cards twice monthly</li>\n <li>Assist with attendance and performance write ups</li>\n <li>Assist with shift completion of SABA safety training</li>\n <li>Assist with OT schedules</li>\n <li>Support shift supervisor on the floor to improve uptime.</li>\n <li>Lead, motivate, and support production team, including career development and problem resolution.</li>\n <li>Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.</li>\n <li>Oversee materials and inventory.</li>\n <li>Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to corporate leadership team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Candidate Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school degree required, secondary education and/or leadership training preferred</li>\n <li>Requires individual with thorough knowledge of production processes in order to oversee bag making process </li>\n <li>A minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in a production environment </li>\n <li>Demonstrated competence to work with minimum supervision effectively with all levels in the organization.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the willingness and ability to learn new systems.</li>\n <li>Willing and able to work overtime</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-TM1</p>\n<h2>Company Benefits</h2>\n<h2>What You'll Get From Us</h2>\n<h3>Benefits</h3>\n<p>With safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
