We transform behavioral health systems through innovation, creativity and collaboration.</p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Description:</span></p>\n<p>True North Recovery, Inc. is seeking a dependable and experienced Laborer to join our Job Training Program alongside our facilities team. This temporary full-time position is responsible for performing in-house general maintenance needs that help create safe, functional, and welcoming environments for the people we serve. </p>\n<p><br>Ideal candidates will have a broad skill set in general construction, with at least 5 years of experience, and the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a laborer. This role reports directly to the Facilities Director and/or designee and may involve occasional travel to remote locations.<br><br></p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the Facilities Director with facility improvement and maintenance</li>\n<li>Complete assigned work efficiently and with attention to detail</li>\n<li>assist with a variety of carpentry and remodeling tasks including:</li>\n<li>Framing, flooring, drywall, painting, trim, countertops, tile</li>\n<li>Window installation, siding, fencing, and bathroom remodels</li>\n<li>Light plumbing and electrical work.</li>\n<li>Manage and stock tools, materials, and supplies</li>\n<li>Maintain a safe and organized worksite</li>\n<li>Communicate clearly and respectfully with other departments</li>\n<li>Qualifications and Education Requirements</li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of basic maintenance and construction procedures</li>\n<li>Valid Alaska driver’s license and insurable under company policy (minimum age 18)</li>\n<li>Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactory state and federal background checks</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in plumbing and electrical</li>\n<li>Strong project and time management abilities</li>\n<li>Sound judgment and decision-making abilities</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li>\n<li>Comfortable working under pressure and managing priorities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">COMPETENCIES</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with Others</li>\n<li>Planning and Problem Solving</li>\n<li>Providing services and Documenting Work</li>\n<li>Basic Construction and some Technical Skills</li>\n<li>Professional and Ethical Conduct</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">FULL TIME BENEFITS </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Allowance for Paid Training and Credentialing</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</span></p>\n<p>This role is primarily performed in an office building with standard office environment and controlled temperatures.  When working outdoors or at a job site the employee may be exposed to construction equipment or other moving objects/equipment, reference job site specifics.  The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
