In this position, you will design, develop and provide ongoing support and tune and optimize their performance to ensure they remain highly available, reliable, and secure.</p><p><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain database systems to meet organizational requirements. Collaborate with System Architects to plan DBMS capacity and hardware requirements.</li><li>Install and configure the production system locally in advance of shipment to customer site. Train and support Developers and Local Service Providers (LSPs).</li><li>Define database migration strategy and design replication topology and methodology. Develop migration procedures/scripts and perform the migration.</li><li>Monitor database performance, identify issues, and optimize database performance.</li><li>Ensure database security by implementing access controls, encryption, and other security measures.</li><li>Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to protect data integrity.</li><li>Provide support for database-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems.</li><li>Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, schemas, changes, processes, and procedures.</li></ul>",
