Needed for on average 6-8 hours a day for summer activities.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h1>QUALIFICATIONS</h1><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; A high school diploma, Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License (CDL), and experience driving a 15-passenger van are required. &nbsp; Experience in the group care of young children, transporting young children, and driving at least a 24-passenger commercial vehicle is preferred.&nbsp;<span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: auto; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration: none; caret-color: rgb(33, 33, 33); color: rgb(33, 33, 33); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; float: none; display: inline !important;\" id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Must have passenger endorsement CDL and good driving record. &nbsp;</strong></span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Van/bus drivers must be able to lift 40 pounds continuously without limitations and perform necessary cleaning in accordance with local, state, and national accreditation, health and safety standards. &nbsp; The van/bus driver must be able to pass a state criminal check, obtain a TB test and medical examination.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h3>NATURE AND SCOPE</h3><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The van/bus driver assists in all aspects of the program pertaining to transportation. &nbsp;Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following general areas:</p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <strong>General Management/Professional Development</strong></p><ul><li>Comply with and implement those aspects of the state minimum standards for licensed childcare centers and national accreditation standards, which apply to the position.</li><li>Comply with and implement center and agency policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintain accurate activity logs and van/bus maintenance logs as required.</li><li>Provide reports, trip data, gas receipts, etc. as required.</li><li>Assume responsibility with minimal supervision; reliable; flexible; has a positive, supportive attitude toward both children and adults.</li><li>Follow prescribed routes for pick-up and delivery of passengers.</li><li>Must maintain communications with center staff, parents and supervisory personnel.</li></ul><h4>Program/Curriculum</h4><ul><li>Carry out the daily transportation activities in a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate manner.</li><li>Understand and adhere to safe vehicles operation, traffic rules and laws, and good driver practices in the performance of assigned tasks.</li><li>Assume responsibility for a group of children, if requested.</li></ul><h4>Staff</h4><ul><li>Assist with developing and encouraging positive relationships among staff in order to create a team environment.</li><li>Cooperate with all center and agency staff, sharing talents, ideas and time as appropriate.</li></ul><h4>Environment, Van/Bus</h4><ul><li>Perform daily maintenance checks and safety equipment inspection of assigned vehicles to ascertain that a properly operating and safe condition vehicle exists to carry out duties.</li><li>Monitor maintenance and repairs of the van/bus, and reporting problems and needs to the appropriate staff.</li><li>Maintain a clean vehicle by weekly cleaning of interior and exterior surfaces including windshield, mirrors, lights, and floors. &nbsp;Encourage passengers/children to share in the responsibility of keeping the van/bus clean.</li></ul><h4>Parents</h4><ul><li>Provide a positive and supportive relationship to parents as partners in early childhood education.</li><li>Maintain communication with the center director regarding any parent concerns.</li></ul><h4>Other</h4><ul><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the center director, or other supervisors.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p></div>\n",
