    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><h3 data-start=\"307\" data-end=\"390\" data-pasted=\"true\">Now Recruiting: MSW Clinical Intern &ndash; Homeless Youth &amp; Young Adult (HYYA) Department</h3><h3 data-start=\"307\" data-end=\"390\"><strong data-pasted=\"true\">Reports to:</strong> HYYA Senior Manager and assigned Clinical Supervisor<br><strong>Location:</strong> Rochester, NH&nbsp;<br><strong>Hours:</strong> Part-time; based on university requirements and program needs<br><strong>Duration:</strong> Semester-based (Fall, Spring, or Academic Year)</h3><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>The MSW Clinical Intern will support Waypoint&rsquo;s Homeless Youth and Young Adult (HYYA) Department in delivering trauma-informed, equity-focused, and youth-driven services. Interns will engage in direct service and clinical tasks that contribute to the safety, stability, and well-being of youth and young adults (ages 18&ndash;<a id=\"_anchor_1\" href=\"#_msocom_1\" language=\"JavaScript\" name=\"_msoanchor_1\" target=\"_blank\">[SE1]</a> 25) experiencing or at risk of homelessness.</p><p>This is a field placement opportunity designed to build clinical skills and systems understanding while centering the voice and autonomy of young people.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Provide one-on-one and group support to youth and young adults, using a strengths-based and harm reduction approach.</li><li>Conduct biopsychosocial assessments under supervision, contributing to care planning and goal development.</li><li>Co-facilitate or observe case management, drop-in services, and street outreach activities as appropriate.</li><li>Document services and interactions in accordance with agency and university standards.</li><li>Participate in case conferencing, reflective supervision, team meetings, and training opportunities.</li><li>Apply principles of trauma-informed care, restorative practices, and positive youth development in all interactions.</li><li>Work collaboratively with young adult-serving systems and community providers.</li><li>Uphold ethical social work standards, including confidentiality, boundaries, and cultural humility.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Learning Goals and Opportunities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Develop and refine clinical social work skills in a real-world, high-impact setting.</li><li>Deepen understanding of homelessness, housing insecurity, and systemic inequity as they relate to youth development.</li><li>Gain practical experience navigating the intersection of direct practice and macro-level service systems.</li><li>Build knowledge of community resources, Coordinated Entry, Housing First, and youth engagement strategies.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Currently enrolled in a Master of Social Work (MSW) program (2nd-year or advanced standing preferred).</li><li>Eligible to participate in a clinical internship through their university.</li><li>Interest in youth homelessness, social justice, and trauma-informed practice.</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li><li>Must pass a background check and complete onboarding requirements.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Supervision &amp; Support</strong></p><p>Interns will receive weekly clinical supervision from a qualified clinical supervisor and ongoing functional support from the HYYA Senior Manager or program designee.
