We embrace a diverse, equitable, inclusive culture where all associates can feel a sense of belonging and use their unique talents and perspective to influence, innovate, motivate, and thrive.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>How You’ll Work</strong></p>\n<p>Work Solution: Remote</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Manager, Financial Reporting</strong> is a leader in the organization managing internal management financial reporting and external regulatory financial reporting; financial recordkeeping; tax reporting; reporting of performance measures including key non-financial data and maintenance and development of all financial reporting.  Assist in providing financial counseling, guidance and information to AAA Life Alliance management. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare, analyze, and deliver accurate and timely financial reports, including internal management and external reporting.</li>\n <li>Evaluate financial performance and profitability through analysis of accounting and operational data.</li>\n <li>Develop financial forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior leadership, including the Operating Committee and Board of Directors.</li>\n <li>Maintain ownership of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and adherence to accounting standards.</li>\n <li>Manage the chart of accounts and reporting structures to support effective financial reporting and business insights.</li>\n <li>Partner with cross-functional teams to support and enhance accounting systems, processes, and data integration.</li>\n <li>Supervise day-to-day activities of the Financial Reporting and Tax teams, ensuring priorities and deadlines are met.</li>\n <li>Support talent development through coaching, training, and performance management to build a strong, capable team.</li>\n <li>Promote clear, professional communication and collaboration within the team and across the organization.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, including timely and accurate regulatory filings.</li>\n <li>Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with GAAP, statutory accounting principles, and applicable laws and regulations.</li>\n <li>Monitor and implement new accounting standards and regulatory changes impacting the business.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Actuarial and other departments to review financial results and communicate key drivers and insights.</li>\n <li>Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience in a people leadership or management role.</li>\n <li>5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Analyzing and developing financial and statistical data to support business recommendations.</li>\n   <li>Preparing financial statements under both GAAP and statutory (insurance) accounting standards.</li>\n   <li>Interpreting and applying insurance regulations and related legislation.</li>\n   <li>Evaluating and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting.</li>\n   <li>Interfacing with regulatory bodies and supporting compliance requirements.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Working knowledge of statutory accounting principles and life insurance accounting practices.</li>\n <li>Experience using financial systems, including general ledger platforms, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>CPA, MBA, or Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation.</li>\n <li>Experience in financial reporting or a related accounting function within the insurance industry.</li>\n <li>Experience applying life insurance accounting and regulatory reporting requirements.</li>\n <li>Experience working with internal and external auditors, including preparing and presenting financial information.</li>\n <li>Experience using technology and systems enhancements to improve reporting processes, accuracy, and efficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions </strong></p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
