Description
General Summary :
The Role of the Substance Use Program Manager is to provide direct oversight of the various Community-based Substance Use Outpatient Programs, including the Opioid Health Home Program and the Medication Assisted Treatment Program. This position will provide guidance and supervision to the counselors within these program, ensuring all guidelines are followed.. They will be expected to provide direct services themselves as well as develop community connections for continual program growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Accept referrals and perform intakes and assessments in a timely fashion Assist clients with reaching their treatment goals in a manner that complies with the required practice, licensing and ethical standards Plan and evaluate treatment plans, monitor objectives for continued relevancy and progress Execute therapeutic intervention and skill building when needed Ensure information is shared with other providers as necessary Meet or exceed agreed upon direct service billable hours to remain connected to clinical work Maintain accurate files and records in accordance with Day One policies and to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations Ensure all deadlines are met by program staff and all documentation is read and reviewed for both quality and accuracy Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to by program staff Manage program roster and ensure all tracking measures are completed within specified timeframes including timely intake and discharge monitoring Ensure the program is operating in a fiscally responsible manner and seek solutions when revenue and/or expenses are not within budget Effectively facilitate group supervision for the program team Effectively provide clinical supervision and program guidance to program staff Represent Day One and/or the program at meetings relevant to the operation or expansion of the program Coordinate with outside stakeholders to ensure strong working relationships Use organized and documented methods to advance public awareness of services provided and increase referral base Continuously seek ways to increase service and reach to clients in a clinically responsible and revenue generating manner Program Specific Expectations:
Align practice of counselors with MAT expectations, including UA’s med counts and phase requirements Ensure the OHH team is meeting the program intentions, clients are in appropriate level of care. Facilitate regular bi-weekly team meetings with both MAT and OHH teams. Monitor attestation process to maximize revenue and ensure accuracy and timelines. Carry active caseload, assessing and providing evidence-based treatment modalities for clients with SUD. Provide weekly individual clinical supervision for SUD counselors and case managers. Responsible for ensuring client participation and counselor caseload needs are balanced and capacity of active clients is maximized. Responsible for program data collection and regular reporting to clinical leadership; and providing monthly productivity reports. Participate in weekly supervision Provide clinical and administrative case reviews for counselors and case managers within MAT & OHH programs. Develop and enact clear understanding of guidelines and processes of MAT and OHH program goals, to ensure regulatory and organization compliance. Participate in developing trainings and educational opportunities in line with Day One’s mission for staff as needed. Cultivate and maintain professional relationships within day One programs, community agencies, stakeholders. Complete employee performance evaluations in a thorough and timely manner Values:

On an ongoing basis strictly adheres to all Day One, Federal and State policies and procedures regarding the confidentiality of client, employee and agency information.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will supervise the LADC staff in community-based programs, the OHH team, MAT counseling staff.
Physical Environment:
The work environment an employee is expected to encounter while performing the essential functions of this job is a typical office setting that includes individual offices for private sessions as well as varied community, home and educational settings. Remote at this time.
Physical Effort:
The employee must be able to sit as well as use hands, arms and fingers to perform routine office and clerical tasks and be able to use a phone to communicate with clients. About 30% of the employee’s time is expected to be spent at a computer keyboard. Must be able to lift 10lbs.
Requirements & Skills Needed for Position:
Minimum of a Master’s degree in relevant field LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, CCS-for Substance Use Disorders Meet agency standards for attendance and punctuality Exercise good judgment and sound professional boundaries in carrying out job functions Show a high tolerance for interruptions and varied routine Possess the ability to keep client information confidential Demonstrate the desire to “take charge” of areas of responsibilities Be successful in consistently meeting deadlines Have good documentation skills - accuracy in maintenance of records Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and demands Be responsive to the needs of clients Listen effectively and use necessary communication methods to convey messages in a respectful, professional and trauma-sensitive manner Works well independently Ability to solve practical problems and design and implement work processes. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each principal duty satisfactorily.
