Financially stable, growing and with over 30 years of experience, we have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic in Cordele, GA. As a member of the Union Compress team, you will have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career that may exceed your expectations.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines.</li><li>Interprets diagnostic test results accurately.</li><li>Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans.</li><li>Collaborates with other diesel mechanics.</li><li>Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts.</li><li>Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts.</li><li>Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.</li><li>Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks.</li><li>Completes test drives to make the vehicle runs correctly.</li><li>Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required.</li><li>Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements.</li><li>Maintain an organized and neat work area.</li><li>Learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Availability and willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, evenings and weekends.</li><li>Must be able to bend, stand, and walk throughout the day.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>BENEFITS</strong></p><p>Union Compress offers a competitive salary and annual bonus program along with comprehensive benefits that include:</p><ul><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Employer Paid Health Insurance</li><li>Dental Insurance</li><li>Vision Insurance</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>401(k) with Company matching</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
