We have an exciting opportunity for you!</p><p>Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Capital Projects Engineer II or III at Nevada Gold Mines.&nbsp; The successful candidate will assist and support team members with assigned aspects of mining and heavy industrial infrastructure projects. This role will be site based and spend at least 50% of their time in the field. An ideal candidate for this role is someone who wants to understand the ‘why’ of the project and looks at issues as challenges rather than road blocks.&nbsp;</p><p>At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world’s most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people. We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 48px;\"><li>Effectively assist with project designs, costing, and the implementation management activities</li><li>50% of time in field managing contractors and reviewing project progress</li><li>Work closely with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), Permitting, Asset Management, Reliability, Operations and Technical Services, to research, analyze and provide supporting documents for inclusion in project scopes</li><li>Assist the Environmental (HSE)/Permitting group in obtaining required permits to prevent delays in construction, commissioning, and final handover to the plant</li><li>Research and provide information for inclusion in project scopes of work subsequent contracts, procurement orders, required supporting documentation, and performs other duties as assigned</li><li>Formulate project parameters, and assist in monitoring progress to address constraints</li><li>Effectively communicate with members of the project team and collaborate with stakeholders to adopt the most cost effective and efficient practices</li><li>Provide technical review for procurement tender and award activities</li><li>Create and/or update standard operating procedures and asset management tactics, and how the process is used to provide training to operating personnel during commissioning and start-up</li><li>Develop framework to measure a project's metrics to monitor performance, and contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly data reconciliation and analytics reporting</li><li>Ensure all project control procedures are implemented and compliant with company policy and standards</li><li>Perform other duties as required&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 48px;\"><li>Bachelor’s degree <strong>OR</strong> relevant experience in engineering or a related field <strong>required</strong></li><li>One (1) to eight (8) years of project planning/management experience&nbsp;preferred</li><li>Project planning/management experience <strong>required</strong></li><li>Knowledge of the seven project phases concept (Identify, Prepare, Appraise, Present, Implement, Monitor, and Evaluate), and become proficient at using the concepts for all projects <strong>preferred</strong></li><li>Commitment to safety for self and others as well as embracing environmentally friendly work practices <strong>required</strong></li><li>Contract management experience <strong>preferred</strong></li><li>Proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and visualization software <strong>required</strong></li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills <strong>required</strong></li><li>Ability to work rotating shifts <strong>required</strong></li><li>Ability to work Underground<strong> preferred</strong></li><li>Familiar with Operational Readiness practices and how to apply them <strong>preferred</strong></li><li>Business Improvement, Enterprise Resource Planning experience <strong>preferred</strong></li><li>Familiarity with Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) initiatives <strong>preferred</strong></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What We Can Offer You&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>A comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!</li><li>Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.</li><li><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Endless opportunities to grow and learn with industry colleagues.</a></li><li>Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization.</li><li>Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.</li></ul><p><i>Thank you for your application, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</i></p><p>#LI-JB1</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
