In this role, you will be responsible for applying high quality fiberglass coatings to various components, ensuring each product meets our stringent quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise and a keen eye for detail, allowing them to excel in preparing surfaces, mixing resins, and ensuring proper application techniques. Your work will directly contribute to our commitment to customer satisfaction and the superior quality of the fiberglass components we produce. Responsibilities Operate and maintain spray gun Prepare surfaces for fiberglass coating application by cleaning and sanding as needed. Mix resins and hardeners according to specifications to ensure proper application consistency. Apply fiberglass coatings to components using either brush or spray techniques to achieve desired thickness and finish. Monitor the curing process and environmental conditions to ensure optimal coating quality; assist in rolling of material, smoothing bubbles, etc. Perform quality control inspections on finished products to identify any defects or areas for improvement. Maintain equipment and tools used in the coating process to ensure they are in good working condition. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions. Assist with prep and assembly of parts as needed or during down time Other duties as assigned Requirements Previous experience with spray gun strong preferred. Proven experience as a fiberglass coating specialist or in a similar role within the composites industry. Strong knowledge of fiberglass materials, resins, and application techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and product guidelines. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area. Must be able to clear medical clearance for respirator use.
