The Project Estimator will report directly to the Director of Preconstruction. As Project Estimator, you’ll be involved in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">all </span>aspects of the construction process on a variety of projects from historic renovations and restorations to architecturally forward ground-up projects. </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Your main responsibilities will be to prepare </span><span>budgets by studying specifications, reviewing drawings, negotiating contracts, and identifying all project costs for a variety of jobs. All while effectively communicating with architects, design professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers in order to obtain bids while qualifying all subcontractors and negotiating price. </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>The role requires someone who desires to be challenged in the work that you do. The culture here is one of collaboration, integrity, and fairness, always focusing on quality, on-time delivery, and getting the job done right.  We are committed to your success, because your success helps the company succeed. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222\"> </span></p>\n<p><span>Key Role Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Uphold the core values</span></li>\n<li><span>Analyze project proposals to evaluate and prepare requests for estimates</span></li>\n<li><span>Prepare weekly bid calendar and ensures timely completion of estimates</span></li>\n<li><span>Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy</span></li>\n<li><span>Attend bid meetings and develop and execute bid strategy</span></li>\n<li><span>Gather construction documents and review historical cost data to understands scope of work to bid</span></li>\n<li><span>Execute quantity surveys of construction documents</span></li>\n<li><span>Prepare estimates in corporate software</span></li>\n<li><span>Obtain pricing for materials</span></li>\n<li><span>Obtain bids from subcontractors</span></li>\n<li><span>Prepare cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items</span></li>\n<li><span>Make an estimate where predetermined standard(s) are not available</span></li>\n<li><span>Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span>Attend departmental meetings as required</span></li>\n<li><span>Build relationships with all partners (trade partners, owners, design teams, etc) </span></li>\n<li><span>Lead meetings as necessary for design-assist processes </span></li>\n<li><span>Track and effectively communicate price fluctuations throughout design-assist processes </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Requirements </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least three years of estimating experience in Commercial Building Construction<br></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Working knowledge of construction estimating concepts</li>\n<li>Skilled in reading and interpreting plans and specifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Highly Desired Qualifications: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field</li>\n<li>Highly Organized</li>\n<li>Ability to juggle multiple projects at once &amp; meet hard deadlines </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>**Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
