In this role, the Pharmacy Technician ensures accurate prescription processing, medication dispensing, and exceptional patient service within a fast-paced clinical environment.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><p><strong>Required</strong></p><ul><li><strong>High school diploma</strong> or equivalent</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures</li><li>Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Reliable attendance and punctuality</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred</strong></p><ul><li><strong>1–2 years</strong> of prior <strong>healthcare</strong> or <strong>pharmacy</strong> experience</li><li>Active Minnesota Board of Pharmacy Technician registration</li><li>Experience with pharmacy computer systems and insurance adjudication</li></ul><h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Receive and process dermatology-specific prescriptions from providers, ensuring accurate patient information and documentation</li><li>Process electronic and written prescriptions, including new and refill orders, in a timely and accurate manner</li><li>Assist with medication preparation and dispensing, including insurance adjudication, counting, labeling, and point-of-sale transactions in accordance with pharmacy policies and regulations</li><li>Resolve insurance-related issues such as prior authorizations, step therapy requirements, and drug utilization reviews</li><li>Coordinate with providers, medical assistants, and clinical staff to clarify prescriptions and support continuity of care</li><li>Respond to patient, employee, and external inquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner</li><li>Manage inbound and outbound telephone communications as needed</li><li>Accurately handle cash register transactions and maintain proper documentation</li><li>Assist with inventory control, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and monitoring medications and supplies</li><li>Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the dispensary workspace in compliance with regulatory and clinic standards</li><li>Provide coverage at other clinic pharmacy locations as needed</li><li>Perform administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong><br>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p><br></p><h3><strong>Work Environment &amp; Physical Requirements</strong></h3><p>This role is performed in a clinical dispensary setting. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, with intermittent sitting throughout the workday.
