    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>NDE Specialist - Farley</strong></p>\n<p>This posting is for one NDE position to be filled at Plant Farley – Dothan, Al.</p>\n<p>Job Summary</p>\n<p>Southern Nuclear has immediate openings for Nuclear Specialists in our Fleet Outage Services Department. This position reports to the Outages Services Non-destructive examination (NDE) Supervisor, or Manager and will be located at Farley Nuclear Plant, Southern Nuclear Operating facility. The candidate selected for this position shall have a working knowledge of applicable American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) code and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards, with a minimum level of certification to Level II and Level IIA in Eddy Current Testing.&nbsp;This position requires planning, scheduling, and performing inspections (in the field), evaluating inspection results including preparation, setup of test equipment, and travel to each of the Southern Nuclear Operating sites.</p>\n<p><u>Education Requirements:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Background/Experience Requirements:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience meeting&nbsp;the following requirements:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Level II ECT (Required)</li>\n   <li>Level IIA ECT (Desirable)</li>\n   <li>Other NDE Methods (Desirable)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Industrial site experience (Desired)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of nuclear power plants (Required)</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership attributes (Desired)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Other Attributes:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High level of written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Motivated self-starter</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple activities, e.g., outage support, planning, scheduling, implementation</li>\n <li>Travel (domestic) is required, including work assignment at Fleet nuclear units (travel up to 50%)</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain unescorted access</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Technical Requirements:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of ASME/NDE codes and standards</li>\n <li>Knowledge of NDE methods</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This posting is for one NDE position to be filled at Plant Farley site.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>NOTE: Must be able to provide entire certification package for verification prior to employment<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>",
