Products include cabinetry, ceilings/sidewalls, galleys, lavatories, and both small and large machined parts.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Functions:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of products, and tools/equipment that affect product performance</li><li>Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques</li><li>Develops machine routings that enhance productivity, utilize standardized tooling, and improve product throughput</li><li>Ensures manufacturing plans are in full compliance with customer specifications to include all industry and military specifications for machining/manufacturing to include all inside and outside processes</li><li>Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques</li><li>Provides guidance to production regarding engineering requirements to best utilize manufacturing techniques to obtain conforming product</li><li>Manufacturing liaison support&nbsp;</li><li>Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions</li><li>May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan</li><li>Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality</li><li>Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations</li><li>Creates, design and manipulates solid models, assemblies, layouts and detail drawings</li><li>Knowledge of quality and certification requirements in regulated manufacturing industries (e.g. AS 9100, FAA, ISO/TSI16949 and ISO 9001)</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask</li><li>Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail</li><li>Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required</li><li>Excellent communication both written and verbal</li><li>Experience in a machine shop environment</li><li>Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative</li><li>Proficient in CAD both 2D and 3D</li><li>Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Experience in SolidWorks and Enterprise PDM</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Education, Certifications and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering (preferred)&nbsp;</li><li>&gt;3 years&rsquo; experience required</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p><p>Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.&nbsp;</p><p>All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.</p><p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
