Description

Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as the Program Director for the CIST Networking Specialist program. Under general supervision, the program director will teach curriculum, evaluate student learning, remain knowledgeable about advances in cyber security, in learning theory, and in andragogy. This program requires day, afternoon, online, and evening scheduling.  This position is full-time/exempt. Please note the following information regarding this position: May be required to teach high school students May require teaching on or off campus throughout our service delivery area (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County) May require travel Responsibilities: Teach and design engaging courses aligned with the curriculum provided by the Technical College System of Georgia Prepare and provide students with course outlines that support student learning outcomes and objectives set forth in the course syllabus. Develops program and course outlines, goals, and objectives Create an effective learning environment through the use of a variety of instructional methods Collaborate in the development and continued assessment of learning outcomes for use in program reviews and curriculum revision. Participate in division and college wide meetings Participate in college projects, surveys, studies, and reports that relate to the program or college Request and maintain supplies and equipment and prepare required budget requests Collaborate in the development of program and/or discipline promotional materials Maintain program certification requirements Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports Recruit, retain, and graduate students Perform other related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: A Master's Degree from an accredited institution in the teaching discipline (i.e. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field) -OR- A Master’s Degree in business with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours or 27 graduate quarter hours in the teaching discipline (i.e. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field) At least one (1) or more years of work experience in the computer information systems industry. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with instruction in a post-secondary setting Experience with learning management systems Certifications in Microsoft (MOS), COMPTIA, A+, Network + AWS Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. for the CIST Networking Specialist program. Under general supervision, the program director will teach curriculum, evaluate student learning, remain knowledgeable about advances in cyber security, in learning theory, and in andragogy. <strong>This program requires day, afternoon, online, and evening scheduling.  This position is full-time/exempt. </strong></span></span><br><br><span sans-serif;\">A Master's Degree from an accredited institution in the teaching discipline (i.e. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field)</span></span></li></ul><p><font face=\"Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">-OR-</span></font></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">A Master’s Degree in business with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours or 27 graduate quarter hours in the teaching discipline (i.e. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field)</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">At least one (1) or more years of work experience in the computer information systems industry.</span></span></li></ul><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><u><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></u></span></span><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Experience with instruction in a post-secondary
