    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong id=\"isPasted\">SUMMARY:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Pathology Laboratory Assistant, under the direction of the Pathology Manager, supports and enhances overall laboratory productivity by performing patient accommodative services, technical procedures and clerical duties as assigned.&nbsp;</p><p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to, specimen pickups, cytology processing, surgical accessioning and assisting with bone marrow and frozen section specimens. &nbsp;Additionally, the Pathology Laboratory Assistant demonstrates knowledge of human tissue types and various technical protocols.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;Formal training which will preferably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in health care or laboratory setting. &nbsp;One year of relevant pathology and/or cytology specimen processing, preferred.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; exposure to hazardous materials; manual dexterity and motor coordination; visual and auditory acuity; move, lift and position materials weighing up to 20 pounds.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>NOTE:</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>This document is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
