We provide a full range of design services in municipal infrastructure, streets, pumping and drainage networks, airports, transit, roads and highways, bridges and structural engineering, high speed rail systems, intelligent transportation systems, construction management services for all levels of government agencies. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>OTHON, Inc., is currently seeking a Roadway Design Engineer for immediate employment at our Dallas office location. We are looking for a self-motivated, aggressively enterprising individual wanting to expand their career opportunities within a growing consulting engineering firm. &nbsp;The qualified applicant will be a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas with experience in roadway engineering as applied to highways and other related highway disciplines.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Provide detailed design calculations in support of signed and sealed plan sheets</li><li>Provide preliminary layouts, specifications, bill of quantities and final plan sheets</li><li>Review the work of other engineers</li><li>Train and mentor less experienced engineers</li><li>Supervise and review the work of CAD drafting technicians</li><li>Develop schematics, plans, specifications, cost estimates, studies and reports</li><li>Supervises Junior Engineers, EITs, and CAD technicians</li><li>Schedule work for all team members</li><li>Mentors younger staff</li><li>Coordinates and works closely with all project disciplines</li><li>Manages project design schedules, budgets and scope</li><li>Responsible for project quality control. Involved with planning, design and construction phases of projects</li><li>Coordinates with the client and is responsible for meeting client schedules and budgets</li><li>Coordinates with local office and firm management to set, manage, and achieve specific office and firm goals</li></ul><p>The Roadway Design Engineer / Project Engineer will report to and be under the supervision of the Business Group Leader.&nbsp;</p><p>This position requires self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team in order to work toward common goals in serving our clients.
