    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>Under limited supervision, we provide loss prevention consulting services within the Property and Marine Loss Prevention department, specializing in equipment breakdown risk. Completes Boiler and Pressure Vessel inspection, conducts extensive research, data collection, evaluation, and analysis to make recommendations that help control customers’ sources of risk, loss, and costs. Serves as a technical expert in mechanical systems and equipment breakdown exposures.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>50% + Travel required, but the selected candidate would be fully remote when not traveling.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducts on-site inspections of boilers, pressure vessels, and mechanical systems to identify hazards and assess risk.</li>\n <li>Compiles facts from site visits, reports, and databases to evaluate existing processes, determine severity/frequency of issues, and identify improvement needs.</li>\n <li>Assesses and benchmarks on customer performance against internal and industry standards, including NBIC requirements.</li>\n <li>Interprets and analyzes data to determine best course of action and solutions that satisfy customer risk service needs.</li>\n <li>Utilizes advanced software applications and Microsoft systems to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.</li>\n <li>Investigate cause-and-effect relationships and prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.</li>\n <li>Organizes data into clear, actionable formats and presents reports outlining improvement plans and cultural/behavioral changes.</li>\n <li>Maintains effective partnerships with customers, learning their business to identify risk management objectives and needs.</li>\n <li>Provides technical support and training to assist with implementation of recommendations and action plans.</li>\n <li>Actively pursues professional development to better meet customer expectations.</li>\n <li>May participate in acquiring new business by following up on leads and presenting proposals.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree with coursework in math, engineering or related areas (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of directly related consulting experience in loss prevention or progressive safety/heath field.</li>\n <li>Candidates are typically working towards (or obtained) an advanced degree and/or professional certification in one or more of the following areas: CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE.</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge, skills and experience in a specialized field, service planning and delivery, risk assessment, risk analysis, solutions management and progress measurement.</li>\n <li>Fully effective interpersonal, writing and other communication skills required to develop and maintain relationships with customers, peers, and industry contacts.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to retrieve and enter information using various proprietary software applications and create/modify documents and complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Office suite.</li>\n <li>Position requires regular travel.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Preferred Qualifications: </em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong background in mechanical systems or loss control engineering.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Certifications: </em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>NBIC In-Service (IS) Commission strong preferred for posted position, but trainee opportunities available; other relevant certifications a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p><strong>Pay Philosophy:</strong> The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location.
