The Med-Surg/Tele Nursing Assistant provides basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient safety for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses while on heart monitors. They play a critical role in observing patients, reporting changes, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment to promote recovery.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Shift’s Available:</strong> Nights</p>\n<p><strong>Hours:</strong> 12-hour shift: 7p - 7a  </p>\n<p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Per Diem/PRN</p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Riverview Regional Medical Center - Gadsden, AL</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: </em></strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive compensation  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical insurance benefit plan </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>401K  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Basic patient care:</strong> help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Vital signs monitoring:</strong> take and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Mobility assistance:</strong> help patients get in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>EKG lead maintenance:</strong> ensure telemetry monitors (heart monitors) are properly connected and functioning — though Certified Nursing Assistant’s (CNA’s) don't usually interpret heart rhythms, they might recognize when alarms go off and immediately alert registered nurses </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Observation:</strong> monitor patients for any physical changes (shortness of breath, chest pain, altered mental status) and quickly notifying the nursing staff </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and Work Experience</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
