The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Ceph, a strong understanding of distributed systems, and a passion for building reliable and scalable infrastructure. You will play a key role in shaping the performance, resiliency, and growth of our storage services.<br><br><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Responsibilities</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, deploy, and maintain Ceph clusters that support large-scale production environments</li>\n<li>Monitor and optimize cluster performance, capacity, and reliability</li>\n<li>Implement best practices for data durability, replication, and recovery</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot storage issues at scale</li>\n<li>Manage lifecycle operations including upgrades, expansions, and migrations</li>\n<li>Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Ceph with OpenStack and Kubernetes platforms</li>\n<li>Automate operational workflows to ensure efficient and repeatable processes</li>\n<li>Participate in on-call rotations to support critical production systems</li>\n<li>Work directly with clients to fix their technical problems</li>\n<li>Contribute to documentation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Qualifications<br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong hands-on experience operating Ceph in production environments</li>\n<li>Solid understanding of distributed storage concepts and architecture</li>\n<li>Proficiency with Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals</li>\n<li>Experience with OpenStack Cinder, Glance, or Nova storage backends is a strong plus</li>\n<li>Familiarity with Kubernetes persistent storage concepts is an asset</li>\n<li>Scripting experience with Python, Go, etc</li>\n<li>Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack</li>\n<li>Ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks and conduct root cause analysis</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Nice to Have<br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contributions to Ceph or other open-source projects</li>\n<li>Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform</li>\n<li>Background in large-scale cloud infrastructure environments</li>\n<li>Understanding of object storage protocols such as S3 or Swift</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">What We Offer</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remote-first work environment</li>\n<li>Professional development opportunities and conference attendance</li>\n<li>Access to cutting-edge technology and infrastructure</li>\n<li>Collaborative and inclusive team culture</li>\n<li>Opportunity to work with open-source technologies</li>\n<li>Be part of the foundation of a growing company</li>\n</ul>",
