Our collaborative culture allows us to build communities and expand skylines while delivering impactful solutions.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Perform professional mechanical engineering work supporting building systems design and construction projects</li><li>Collect, compile, and analyze data from site investigations, surveys, blueprints, schematics, and technical reports for project development</li><li>Assist with the design, planning, and integration of mechanical systems including HVAC, air distribution, hydronic, and plumbing systems <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https://wsponlinenam-my.sharepoint.com/personal/michelle_cotner_wsp_com/_layouts/15/Doc.aspx?sourcedoc={C78D67E7-CEB3-4F5F-A9D1-39DA82E3F0E0}&amp;file=P2 Mechanical Engineer.docx&amp;action=default&amp;mobileredirect=true&amp;DefaultItemOpen=1\">[</a></li><li>Support load calculations, system sizing, and development of engineering design solutions</li><li>Participate in research, field investigations, and inspections to evaluate existing and proposed mechanical systems and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare technical documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings related to system installation and performance&nbsp;</li><li>Contribute to the application of modeling tools and advanced design techniques to improve building performance and efficiency&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, electrical, civil, and structural engineers) to deliver integrated project solutions</li><li>Assist in reviewing designs to ensure alignment with safety, quality, and functionality standards&nbsp;</li><li>Support construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field</li><li>1–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design for building systems</li><li>Knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, and mechanical equipment design</li><li>Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, IBC, etc.)</li><li>Proficiency with engineering tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and load calculation software</li><li>Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>EIT certification or ability to obtain</li><li>Experience supporting healthcare, higher education, commercial, or industrial building projects</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u>WSP Benefits:&nbsp;</u>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
