(BGC)</strong> is a family owned and operated heavy civil construction services and site contracting company based in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. <strong>BGC</strong> provides full-service site contracting and heavy civil construction services in the following core service areas: complete site and land development, demolition, transportation & structures, water & wastewater, design-build and value engineering and emergency response.</p>\n<p>Founded in 1971, <strong>BGC</strong> remains dedicated to providing our customers and clients with exceptional service and finished products of the highest quality.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies.</li>\n <li>Acquires tools needed for daily operations</li>\n <li>Measures distances from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight line.</li>\n <li>Bolts, nails, aligns, and blocks up under forms.</li>\n <li>Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.</li>\n <li>Levels earth to fine grade specifications.</li>\n <li>Mixes concrete. </li>\n <li>Smooths and finishes freshly poured cement or concrete.</li>\n <li>Positions, joins, aligns, and seals pipe sections.</li>\n <li>Erects scaffolding, shoring, and braces.</li>\n <li><strong>Paving Duties:</strong></li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Assists with pre-run markings</li>\n  <li>Uses a paving lute to fine grade before roller man compacts</li>\n  <li>Operates vibratory plate as needed</li>\n  <li>Shovels asphalt as required</li>\n  <li>Direct traffic around work area as required</li>\n </ul>\n <li><strong>Pipe Duties:</strong></li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Gets tools needed for daily operations</li>\n  <li>Gets job set up for daily function such as setting up a pipe laser</li>\n  <li>Operates a Wacker and jumping jack to perform backfilling duties</li>\n  <li>Uses cut saws to make pipe proper length</li>\n  <li>Preps pipe for connection before pipe gets lowered</li>\n  <li>Shoots grades and checks grades using laser or conventional methods</li>\n  <li>Performs connection of pipe work</li>\n  <li>Responsible for checking for proper pipe slope</li>\n  <li>Preps structures for installation</li>\n  <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
