The Pharmacist ensures that the pharmacy provides optimal service levels, meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements, and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of practice.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Essential Functions</strong></u></p><ul><li>Supervises prescription processing activities to ensure quality and standard of practice are maintained&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Manages transactions within the pharmacy to maintain accurate control of pharmaceutical materials and ensure adherence with applicable state and federal laws and rules&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Follows all safety and USP guidelines for the preparation of medications&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Participates regularly in supply chain and vendor meetings and shares issues, observations, and recommendations&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Manages inbound/outbound pharmacy prescription transfers with incoming/outgoing clients</li><li>Follows all policies and procedures related to controlled substance dispensing&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Follows agency documentation policies for the pharmacy.</li><li>Adheres to ethical and legal standards set by licensing boards and state regulations.</li><li>Participates in ongoing professional development activities to meet licensure, certification, and/or other agency requirements</li></ul>",
