    "description": "<h2>The Opportunity</h2>\n<p>The Memphis Grizzlies are looking for a Public Safety Officer to patrol and protect the FedExForum, promote and enforce safety and security, and act as a visible deterrent against irregular activity. You will assist in 24/7 security for the arena as well as event-related security. This role rotates between multiple posts throughout the building, including, but not limited to, but not limited to, rover, top of dock, employee entrance(s), and receiving. </p>\n<h2>In This Role You Will</h2>\n<p><strong>Rotational Post Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Top of Dock:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor the loading dock area to ensure proper access by authorized personnel only.</li>\n <li>Verify credentials for deliveries, vendors, and contractors.</li>\n <li>Communicate with internal departments regarding expected shipments.</li>\n <li>Maintain a log of vehicle entries and ensure fire lanes are clear.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Receiving:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Secure the receiving area to prevent unauthorized access.</li>\n <li>Ensure proper check-in/check-out of incoming packages and deliveries.</li>\n <li>Escorts deliver drivers and contractors as needed.</li>\n <li>Conduct visual inspections of incoming items for security compliance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Rover (Roaming Officer):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Patrol the interior and exterior of the facility on foot or by vehicle.</li>\n <li>Observe and report safety hazards, suspicious activities, or policy violations.</li>\n <li>Assist with crowd management and guest safety during events.</li>\n <li>Respond to incidents and emergencies following established protocols.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Employee Entrance:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as the first point of contact for staff and event personnel.</li>\n <li>Verify identification and event credentials for all entering the building.</li>\n <li>Enforce access control protocols and maintain sign-in logs.</li>\n <li>Provide information and assistance to employees entering the arena.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Additional Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with evacuation or shelter-in-place procedures during emergencies.</li>\n <li>Complete incident and shift report accurately and thoroughly.</li>\n <li>Provide exceptional customer service to guests and employees.</li>\n <li>Attend mandatory training sessions and maintain certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid).</li>\n <li>Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.</li>\n <li>Operate CCTV and access control systems.</li>\n <li>Conduct threat detection monitoring (ex. weather, social media, and open-source data).</li>\n <li>Distribute, collect, and inventory shift equipment (ex. radios).</li>\n <li>Participate in a variety of meetings and committees to ensure that safety and security issues are appropriately addressed.</li>\n <li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>The Experience You Will Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High-School Diploma or GED.</li>\n <li>At least one year of related security experience or equivalent military experience.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of security operations and/or safety practices.</li>\n <li>Strong observational and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions, under pressure.</li>\n <li>Must be able to meet minimum requirements for the license eligibility for the State of Tennessee Private Protective Services.</li>\n <li>Must be able to meet qualifications for license renewal under the State of Tennessee Private Protective Services every 2 years.</li>\n <li>Must be available to work middle shift, weekends, and holidays, as needed.</li>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical/Cognitive Requirements </strong></p>\n<p>With or without reasonable accommodation:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, walking, and standing.</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.</li>\n <li>Ability to travel throughout the facility, as required.</li>\n <li>Must possess visual activity, i.e.: close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a variety of environments, including but not limited to heights, elevators, darkened arena, around crowds, loud noise, indoor/outdoor, and flashing lights.</li>\n <li>Continuous stretching, standing and walking, including up and downstair</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of sports and entertainment, specifically NBA basketball. </li>\n <li>Working knowledge of security operations and/or safety practices.</li>\n <li>Security license.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of safety equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At the Memphis Grizzlies, we strive to provide a fun, diverse, and rewarding work environment for all team members.
