    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Seasonal Construction Assistant</span></p>\n<p>Department: Construction</p>\n<p>Reports To: C&amp;E Manager</p>\n<p>FLSA Status: Non-exempt</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">GENERAL SUMMARY</span></p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Assists in the construction, installation, and modification of OSP facilities, network facilities and equipment located at the customer premise. Job requires occasional out-of-town work with overnight stays.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists in installation and maintenance of ONT housings, pedestals, fiber cable, handholes and grounding solutions.</li>\n<li>Assists in installation of new services and equipment for subscribers by installing drop fiber and network interface devices.</li>\n<li>Works with construction equipment, hand tools, motorized tools, trucks and vehicles.</li>\n<li>Assists in installation, service, and removal of network facilities and equipment.</li>\n<li>Assists in installation and maintenance of phone systems and associated equipment, security systems, surveillance systems including cabling. Installs and maintains other customer premise equipment.</li>\n<li>Assists in testing and splicing fiber drops and fiber cable networks.</li>\n<li>Completes all necessary installation and repair related forms and reports.</li>\n<li>Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieve results with good fiscal policy.</li>\n<li>Adapt to the evolving and changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities of WRT and the industry.</li>\n<li>Promote organizational mission and goals by influencing others to act in support of ideas, programs, or causes.</li>\n<li>Display an ongoing positive commitment to learning and self-improvement; desiring and making an effort to acquire new knowledge or skills for work.</li>\n<li>Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"></a>Knowledge of fiber facility construction process and procedure.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of telecommunications plant operations and maintenance.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of company policies, procedures, products and services.</li>\n<li>Skill in Microsoft office software.</li>\n<li>Skill in using mechanical and electric power tools.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as maps, staking sheets, and operating and maintenance manuals.</li>\n<li>Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.</li>\n<li>Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.</li>\n<li>Ability to pay close attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Ability to effectively function as a team player.</li>\n<li>Ability to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about WRT’s sales culture.</li>\n<li>Ability to think progressively and innovatively while quickly grasping and synthesizing new ideas.</li>\n<li>Ability to maintain positive attitude.</li>\n<li>Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by WRT’s insurance carrier.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</span></p>\n<p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REPORTING REQUIREMENTS</span></p>\n<p>Reports to the WRT Headquarters office in Hazen, ND.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">APPLICATION PROCESS</span></p>\n<p>Apply online at <a href=\"https://westriv.com/about/#careers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https://westriv.com/about/#careers</a> by 5:00 p.m. May 14, 2026.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>WRT is an Equal Opportunity Employer</em></p>",
