    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Leads engineering and quality activities across production and new product launches. This role is responsible for improving process capability, reducing defects, managing quality systems (IATF 16949:2016), supporting customer and supplier quality, and building a high-performing engineering team. The manager works cross-functionally with operations, engineering, supply chain, and leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective manufacturing.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</strong>include the following. Other duties may be assigned relative to the growth of our company.</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Lead manufacturing and quality engineers&nbsp;</strong>by setting priorities, coaching staff, managing performance, and building technical capability.</li><li><strong>Drive process and product quality</strong> through PFMEA, control plans, SPC, root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li><strong>Support new product launches</strong> with APQP, PPAP, launch readiness reviews, process validation, and risk assessment.</li><li><strong>Own quality systems and compliance</strong> by maintaining documentation, procedures, audits, corrective actions, and alignment with standards such as IATF 16949:2016 and customer specific requirements.</li><li><strong>Improve manufacturing performance</strong> by reducing scrap, rework, warranty issues, and variation while increasing yield and process stability.</li><li><strong>Partners with cross-functional teams</strong> including production, design, maintenance, supply chain, and customer-facing teams to resolve quality and manufacturing issues. Work directly with development teams and executive leadership of our organization.</li><li><strong>Handle customer and supplier quality concerns</strong> through issue escalation, containment, investigation, corrective action, and communication.</li><li><strong>Use data to make decisions</strong> by analyzing trends in defects, complaints, process capability, and inspection results.</li><li><strong>Manage capital and process improvements</strong> including tooling, fixtures, gages, equipment, and manufacturing methods. Manage current and future capital expenditures with Business Development for customer request for quote. (RFQ)</li><li><strong>Promote safety and operational discipline</strong> while ensuring procedures are followed and workplace standards are maintained.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>Directly supervises 8-12 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational chart, company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.</li><li><strong>5&ndash;10+ years</strong> of experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, and process engineering.</li><li>Prior <strong>leadership or people management</strong> experience with professional teams.</li><li>Strong knowledge of:<ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans</strong></li><li><strong>SPC, CAPA, RCA, 8D</strong></li><li><strong>GD&amp;T, DOE, MSA, Cpk</strong></li><li><strong>Lean, Six Sigma, 5S</strong></li><li>Quality standards such as <strong>IATF 16949:2016</strong>, and customer specific systems.</li></ul></li><li>Experience with <strong>new product launch</strong>, audits, and process continuous improvement as a Tier #1 Automotive supplier</li><li>EV battery experience or knowledge preferred</li><li>Manufacturing Execution System (MES) knowledge</li><li>Maintaining Bill of Materials updates with ECI process</li><li>Generate reports and suitable materials for customer review and executive leadership team</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
