Description

Description NOV Texas Oil Tools, the leading specialty manufacturer and supplier of well control equipment for intervention operations, is seeking a Service Technician for its Odessa, Texas location. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Familiar with Coiled Tubing Pressure Control Equipment (CTPCE) and fully conversant with the assembly drawings and bill of materials – using only approved versions. Responsible for the safe assembly, testing and repair of assigned pressure control (CTPCE) under the direction of the supervisor. Produce product in a manner as to improve efficiency and achieve productivity and delivery goals. Notify the supervisor of any mistakes, omissions, or alterations necessary to drawings or bill of materials. Upkeep of tools and toolbox, reporting any losses or breakages to the supervisor and keeping the toolbox locked when not in use. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience and knowledge of mechanical assembly; basic blueprint reading skills and pressure control equipment (preferred). Solid understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Forklift experience considered an asset. JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to pass a physical, drug screen and background check. Must be willing and able to work any overtime as required. Must possess basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail. Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently. Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures. Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties. Ability to multitask in fast paced environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend/stoop, push/pull and repetitive movement up to 12 hours daily.
