Description
Principal Function: Provide assistance in parking cars as they arrive on the property for Symphony on the Prairie and other events and pulls trash and recycling containers during intermission and or down times during parking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
Arrives on-time.
Available to work evenings for programmatic events.
Wears a safety vest while parking cars.
Directs traffic in a professional and safe manner.
Pulls trash and recycling as necessary and per designated schedule, tying bag at the top and setting next to trash container. Replaces used bags with new ones.
Pulls trash and recycling bags at the end of event helping to load into wagons or golf carts to bring back to appropriate facilities’ dumpsters.
Walks grounds at the end of event to pick up any additional trash not placed in trash boxes.
Provides support for cleaning restrooms, restocking supplies, and other areas as needed.
Using cell phones is only allowed during designated breaks and meals periods – if applicable.
Completes cart/gator safety training.
Education and/or Experience: Enrolled in high school or college; high school diploma/GED preferred. Must be a minimum of seventeen (17) years old.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is exposed to working in wet or humid conditions, heat, and other outdoor weather conditions. Moderate exposure to broken glass and other sharp articles found in trash.
Conner Prairie is generally open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, this position will be required to work beyond these hours (evenings) and when open for special events.
