    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Physician Assistant &ndash; Hand Surgery (Orthopedic &amp; Neuroscience Center)</strong></p><p>Lexington, KY | Full-Time | Exempt (30&ndash;40 hrs/week)</p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>We are seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant with a focus or strong interest in Hand Surgery to join our Orthopedic &amp; Neuroscience team. This role works directly with a fellowship-trained hand surgeon, providing first assist in the operating room and delivering specialized care to patients with hand, wrist, and upper extremity conditions.</p><p>The PA will play a critical role across the full continuum of care&mdash;from clinic evaluation and diagnosis to surgical assistance and post-operative recovery&mdash;while helping ensure excellent patient outcomes and an outstanding patient experience.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Serve as first assist in hand and upper extremity surgical procedures</li><li>Perform pre-operative evaluations, including history, physical exams, and surgical planning support</li><li>Provide post-operative care, including wound care, splinting/casting, and follow-up management</li><li>Evaluate and manage clinic patients with hand, wrist, and upper extremity conditions</li><li>Perform in-office procedures such as:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Joint and tendon injections</li><li>Suture removal</li><li>Splinting and casting</li></ul></li><li>Collaborate closely with surgeons, therapists, and clinical staff to coordinate care</li><li>Educate patients on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and rehabilitation</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program</li><li>NCCPA certification required</li><li>Eligible for or current licensure in Kentucky</li><li>Experience in orthopedic surgery, hand surgery, or upper extremity care strongly preferred</li><li>Familiarity with:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Fracture care</li><li>Tendon and nerve injuries</li><li>Carpal tunnel and other common hand conditions</li></ul></li><li>Strong procedural skills and comfort in both OR and clinic settings</li><li>Excellent communication and team collaboration skills</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during surgical procedures</li><li>Manual dexterity for assisting in surgery</li><li>Ability to move, position, and assist patients safely</li><li>Capability to work in a fast-paced surgical and clinical environment</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Us</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Work directly with specialized hand surgeons</li><li>High-impact role with a mix of surgery and clinic autonomy</li><li>Collaborative, team-oriented environment</li><li>Opportunity to develop advanced skills in a high-demand subspecialty</li></ul><p><strong>Note</strong></p><p>This job description outlines the general responsibilities and expectations for this role and is not an exhaustive list of all duties.</p><p><br><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; LEXINGTON CLINIC IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER (EOE)</strong></p></div></div></div>\n",
