Description

Purpose Provides general and specialized diagnostic imaging service and care to patients during both diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures. The technologist is accountable for optimal diagnostic images through the use of various types of diagnostic equipment. Uses ultrasound imaging technology to produce detailed images of internal organs and structures within a patient's body, assisting doctors in diagnosis and treatment by acquiring and analyzing these images; key responsibilities include preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, interpreting results, and maintaining patient comfort throughout the procedure. Essential Job Functions Uses ultrasound imaging technology to produce detailed images of internal organs and structures within a patient's body, Assists doctors in diagnosis and treatment by acquiring and analyzing these images; Key responsibilities include preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, interpreting results, and maintaining patient comfort throughout the procedure.
