Our team offers a variety of MEP and process piping services, including design-build engineering for new construction and renovation, installation and specialty construction, maintenance, and air balancing, start-up, and energy efficiency services.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>DeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill a Safety Coordinator position in our Columbus, Ohio location. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting job site PPE management in the Columbus area. This position will provide safety leadership in job site training, and performing job site visits/audits to verify that safety measures are consistently implemented company wide. </p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain and provide proper PPE on job sites. </li>\n <li>Utilize ToolWatch system to keep safety equipment current and on proper inspection cycle.</li>\n <li>Coordinate safety training with Safety Managers.</li>\n <li>Provide training for employees in safe work practices and necessary training per job functions and jobsite requirements.</li>\n <li>Maintain safety files and records.</li>\n <li>Maintain, promote, and enforce project site safety in accordance with company, state and federal policies and procedures. Monitor jobsite locations for hazards and safety concerns. Take necessary measures to correct/eliminate hazards.</li>\n <li>Provide recommendations and assistance with respect to job site hazards, employee training, new/safe equipment operation and safe material. </li>\n <li>This position has no direct supervision responsibilities, but will give direction to others in ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#debra</p>\n<p>#LI-LV1</p>\n<p>#LI-Onsite</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of construction safety, accident prevention, and industry safety.</li>\n <li>30 hr. OSHA certification</li>\n <li>Must be able to lead and communicate effectively with trades, subcontractors, supervisors/foreman, project managers, and client representatives. </li>\n <li>Be able to work independently.</li>\n <li>Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task</li>\n <li>This position may require up to 15% local travel to job sites, attend meetings, assist at other office locations, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
