Duties include installing and removing tooling, performing equipment repairs, following all company policies and safety procedures, and maintaining housekeeping standards. Additional tasks may be assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Safety</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support a safe workplace by following rules and speaking up when you see unsafe actions.</li>\n <li>Follow all required safety procedures and PPE guidelines.</li>\n <li>Keep work area clean and organized.</li>\n <li>Immediately report any safety concerns, hazards, near misses, or injuries to supervisor on shift.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Quality</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Follow all standard work procedures to ensure equipment runs product to quality standards.</li>\n <li>Report equipment problems that could lead to quality defects of product.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Productivity</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Learn and perform all tool room functions and thermoforming set-ups.</li>\n <li>Read and use measuring tools (rule, micrometer, calipers).</li>\n <li>Set-up and operate all tool room equipment.</li>\n <li>Work from verbal instruction, sketches, or blueprints.</li>\n <li>Work with minimal supervision and be accessible by radio at all times for direction.</li>\n <li>Recommend component upgrades that increase productivity or reduce overtime.</li>\n <li>Inspect equipment for problems and make adjustments as needed.</li>\n <li>Complete all required paperwork correctly.</li>\n <li>Maintain housekeeping in production areas and on equipment (sweeping, mopping, wiping down machines, removing waste) to keep the work area clean, safe, and contamination-free.</li>\n <li>Work closely with tool room mechanics to ensure that adequate supplies are “on-hand”.</li>\n <li>Identify different plant materials correctly.</li>\n <li>Safely operate forklifts, hand-jacks, hydraulic cranes, and other powered equipment.</li>\n <li>Work in any area of the plant and overtime as needed.</li>\n <li>Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements and Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have an outstanding work record. </li>\n <li>Position requires an HS Diploma or GED, and 2-3 years related experience. </li>\n <li>Demonstrated problem solving and mechanical skills are also required. </li>\n <li>Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally is required, as is the ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with others effectively <strong><u>as a part of a team is essential</u></strong>.</li>\n <li>Experience running all machine shop equipment.</li>\n <li>Milling machine, Lathes, surface grinder. ETC…</li>\n <li>Must have knowledge of safe machine shop practices.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Most routine tasks are performed while standing or walking or sitting.</li>\n <li>Reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling are constantly present while performing job duties.</li>\n <li>Frequently turning body from 0 to a maximum of 180 degrees.</li>\n <li>Good eyesight is essential for constant inspection of product. Seeing both near and far, color vision and depths of field are all required. Vision corrected with glasses or contact lenses is acceptable.</li>\n <li>Frequent walking is required. Distance can be over 500 feet.</li>\n <li>Frequent climbing stairs to our parts supplies.</li>\n <li>Occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or talking may be required.</li>\n <li>Lifting up to 50 pounds is required.</li>\n <li>Pushing and pulling is occasionally required.</li>\n <li>Controls required include hands/arms (both) and feet/legs (both).</li>\n <li>Environment includes inside work 100%, teamwork 100%, can be near or close to others, The production floor can be in excess of 95 degrees during the summer months.</li>\n <li>Vibration can occasionally be present from product shakers or grinders.</li>\n <li>There is a mild plastic smell at all times.
