    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Builds, repairs and prepares articles for testing and associated auxiliary equipment. Installs test article into test structure (test cell, table, rig, etc.). Performs tests in accordance with set test methods.<br>\n Performs testing in accordance with established test procedures and methodology.<br>\n Consistently provides accurate and reliable test results.<br>\n Has an in-depth understanding of the function on of the test equipment used to perform test and the contribution of the test equipment to the validity of the test results.<br>\n Configures and operates data acquisition systems; analyzes and reviews data for appropriateness.<br>\n Has an in-depth understanding of the functioning of the product under test to assess the contribution of the product to the validity of the test results.<br>\n Performs test stand installation, troubleshooting and setups and the upkeep and maintenance of laboratory equipment<br>\n Provides support/recommendations to engineering for equipment supplier evaluation and qualification, equipment and facility updates and instrument specification<br>\n Performs other duties as required.</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p>Conducts performance and reliability testing on multiple and single cylinder engines, components, systems, and controls; performs diagnosis of engines,<br>\n components, systems, controls, and test cell problems and initiates appropriate resolutions.<br>\n Configures and operates data acquisition systems; analyzes and reviews data for appropriateness; writes computer programs to assist in analysis and data<br>\n interpretation; configures engine test programs; interprets results; makes necessary adjustments; documents, defines data collected, and maintains electronic<br>\n files.<br>\n Performs rig, engine and component builds, tear down, and inspections.<br>\n Grades and measures components.<br>\n Creates sketches for machining and fabricates necessary piping, tubing, and brackets from prints and drawings.<br>\n Installs engines and instrumentation of engines and components in test cells, test rigs.<br>\n Uses common tools such as Calterm, Asset, Cyflex, etc.<br>\n Designs, documents, and executes test plans; provides input during the creation of test plans; prepares test reports to include findings, conclusions and<br>\n recommendations.<br>\n Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines to work.<br>\n Works with and trains apprentices and technicians.<br>\n Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions.<br>\n Coordinates programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.<br>\n Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures.<br>\n Leads and participate in improvement projects.<br>\n Develops and gives presentations to customers and suppliers.<br>\n Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures.<br>\n Demonstrates confidentiality as required.<br>\n Participates in self- and team-audits and associated corrective action.<br>\n Performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.</p>",
