    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">The Asphalt Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and skilled operation of multiple types of equipment in order to support daily Asphalt Plant operations. This position is located in<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> Rensselaer, NY. </span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General Duties:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Operate articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front- mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Secondary plant operator, operate asphalt plant to produce and load material</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Maintain stockpiles of aggregate materials.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Maintenance of grounds, plant equipment, roadways, all work areas</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Maintenance of equipment, such as fueling, lubricating, cleaning, etc. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Other duties as assigned.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Mechanically inclined. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Flexibility to work long hours during the busy season including varied shifts and weekends; when necessary.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Must agree to adhere to a Drug-Free Workplace</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn!</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Excellent communication skills with co-workers as well as customers</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Excellent multitasking skills and able to prioritize projects in a busy environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Able to operate with minimal supervision.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">OSHA 10 Certification</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Regularly required to work from a seated position operating equipment for long periods</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Frequent exposure to loud noise</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particle</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em><span>Incomplete Applications will not be forwarded for review. </span></em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span>New Castle will follow EEO Federal and State guidelines prohibiting employment and job discrimination.
