Description

Description Monitor all products and/or processes in receiving, manufacturing, inventory, and shipping at prescribed intervals and frequencies to verify that product and/or process characteristics are in accordance with established quality control specifications and procedures. Understand correct responses for out-of-control conditions. Record data on prescribed forms and understand statistical process control (SPC) charts. Use measuring devices to verify product conformance to specifications (measuring devices include, but are not limited to, callipers, plug gauges, pin gauges, fixtures, templates, visual aids, etc.). Monitor or rework the process; obtain/ensure rework approval before the process begins; ensure rework is performed according to the approved method. Assure effective communication from shift to shift with quality issues by using logs, quality documents, and verbal and other effective communication methods. Maintain trend charts as needed and record test data results on forms, charts, or control charts. Ensure containment activities when product disposition requires sort, rework, or rejection. Station audits (may include but is not limited to auditing production parts at the station, operator work instructions, quality alerts, scrap, rework, etc.) Be knowledgeable of containment procedures and ensure containment of all non-conforming products—properly identify status with tags and/or stickers, as the procedure requires. Maintain work area, measuring devises and test equipment in a clean, safe and organized manner; promote 5S practices throughout the plant. Offer suggestions and assist manufacturing personnel in trouble shooting and problem resolution whenever possible. Troubleshoot defects and help with resolutions.
