    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>U.S. General Services Administration Program Support</p>\n<p>REI Systems is seeking a highly experienced Chief Solution Architect to provide technical leadership and architectural governance for a large-scale federal application modernization and operations program supporting the upcoming GSA AOS opportunity.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Chief Solution Architect will serve as the principal technical authority across the program, leading enterprise architecture strategy, cloud modernization initiatives, AI-enabled engineering approaches, and long-term technology transformation planning. This individual will guide modernization efforts from legacy on-premise environments to scalable AWS cloud-native architectures while ensuring alignment with federal security, performance, scalability, and operational requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on architecture expertise with strategic leadership experience across enterprise modernization, cloud engineering, DevSecOps, API-driven platforms, and emerging AI-enabled software delivery capabilities.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as the lead technical authority and enterprise architect across all program teams and delivery initiatives.</li>\n <li>Define and maintain enterprise architecture standards, technical governance processes, and modernization strategies.</li>\n <li>Lead architectural transformation efforts from legacy systems to AWS cloud-native environments.</li>\n <li>Provide oversight and guidance for solution architecture, application architecture, integration architecture, and platform engineering activities.</li>\n <li>Review, approve, and govern major technical and architectural decisions across the program.</li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with Government technical leadership and program stakeholders to align technical solutions with mission objectives.</li>\n <li>Establish modernization and migration roadmaps for large-scale enterprise applications and platforms.</li>\n <li>Lead implementation of scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.</li>\n <li>Guide engineering teams on:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Microservices architectures</li>\n   <li>API-first development</li>\n   <li>Event-driven architectures</li>\n   <li>Service-oriented design patterns</li>\n   <li>Cloud-native engineering practices</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Promote and drive SecDevOps and CI/CD best practices, including AI-assisted software development approaches.</li>\n <li>Provide technical oversight for AI/ML-enabled solutions including RAG, LLM, and agentic AI implementations supporting software engineering acceleration and operational modernization.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with federal security standards and enterprise architecture requirements including FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST guidance.</li>\n <li>Lead technical risk identification, mitigation, and architecture governance activities.</li>\n <li>Translate complex technical concepts into executive-level communications and decision-ready recommendations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline.</li>\n <li>AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.</li>\n <li>Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in one or more architecture domains, including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Solution Architecture</li>\n   <li>Application Architecture</li>\n   <li>Enterprise Architecture</li>\n   <li>Cloud Architecture</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience leading architecture strategy and governance for large-scale enterprise IT modernization programs.</li>\n <li>Experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, preferably within AWS environments.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of enterprise integration, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems architecture.</li>\n <li>Experience collaborating across technical leadership, engineering teams, and architecture governance stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical strategies and complex concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced hands-on experience with modern programming languages and frameworks including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Java</li>\n   <li>JavaScript / Angular</li>\n   <li>Python</li>\n   <li>Go</li>\n   <li>Rust</li>\n   <li>PHP</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Experience architecting large-scale cloud-native applications and platforms within AWS.</li>\n <li>Expertise in:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)</li>\n   <li>Web Services</li>\n   <li>API Management</li>\n   <li>Microservices architectures</li>\n   <li>Event-driven systems</li>\n   <li>Messaging and service bus patterns</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Experience defining and scaling SecDevOps best practices across enterprise engineering organizations.</li>\n <li>Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and agentic AI capabilities to improve software delivery velocity and engineering effectiveness.</li>\n <li>Experience with:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)</li>\n   <li>Large Language Models (LLMs)</li>\n   <li>AI-enabled automation and orchestration</li>\n   <li>Experience establishing modernization roadmaps for legacy application migration and transformation initiatives.</li>\n   <li>Familiarity with
